The Themes of Paintball Fields
Most
outdoor games
are played on fields and paintball is no different. There are various
kinds of paintball fields that have different kids of themes.
Even though paintball can be played almost anywhere, it is usually an
outdoor game. Being a fast paced as well as a high-energy game, it is
best to play paintball in large open spaces, like paintball fields.
Today, most players prefer paintball fields. These huge parks like
fields have various themes to them. You could play in a forest, farm,
and factory or even in some historical era. Most of the fields are
rented out and one can find basic amenities along with game gear
available too. The woods are used most frequently for paintball and
such locations are referred to as an outdoor woods paintball field. A
speedball field is a reference to any paintball field that has a few
hazards and bunkers. Since swimming is available throughout the year
due to heated indoor pools, paintball stands inspired too. There are a
few indoor paintball fields that can be used through various seasons.
Most indoor fields have closely knit bunkers and more suitable to play
speedball. One must keep in mind that in an indoor field the sound of
the gunshot is heightened and so earplugs might be a sensible option.
There are two kinds of paintball fields depending on their legality.
The legal commercial ones follow certain rules and regulations and
safety norms. These are needless to say, expensive to rent. The other
kind is just open private fields called renegade or outlaw ball. As is
evident by the name, there are no rules or safety norms here. Such
fields have seen their fair share of injury so it is best to steer
clear of them. In a legal paintball field, it is mandatory to wear
goggles or masks. The legal paintball fields also need parental consent
for anyone under the age of eighteen years.
There are no specifications about the size of the paintball field. Just
like the theme, the size can also vary from field to field. So choosing
an ideal paintball field can be both easy as well as difficult. If you
are clear about the kind of paintball you want to play, there is
definitely a theme field matching your taste. But if the tables are
turned, then the variety can definitely confuse you. While choosing the
field that one wishes to play on, it might help to keep certain tips in
mind. Judge the field by the quality of its pro shop. A good pro shop
will mostly translate into a good field. The quality of the guns that
can be rented and the quality of the paint both will help you decide
the level of the field. A field that is cleaned and the bunkers are
rotated is definitely a better bet than a field that has all fixed
bunkers and is not maintained.
So close your eyes and imagine a theme and you are sure to find a
corresponding paintball field.
