The Fun Game of PaintballThere is an Indian festival called holi, where people throw color on each other. Well! Paintball is a really sophisticated version of this festival. Let's begin by understanding the game first. The idea is to shoot paint at your opponent. The one who hits the target the most times is the winner. This game can and is played at various degrees. It can be played anywhere indoors (if you don't mind cleaning up later) and outdoors. There can be two or two hundred or many more participants. The game ends when the participants decide they have had enough and it's time to clean up. Its similarity to hide and seek and tag is pretty high. Having put the rules down let us look at the gear needed to play paintball. Most essential is a pair of goggles. The paint could get into your eyes and cause serious damage. So a pair of goggles is as essential to paintball as a helmet is for horseback riding. The paint is being shot at each other at high speeds and eyes if unexposed are most like to get injured. Now if we are shooting paint at each other we need to have a gun for it. So a paintball gun or marker is needed and some paintballs along with it. A barrel-blocking device is a must too. All paintballs fields that are insured have made it mandatory. Of course air supply, CO2 or Nitrogen whichever one chooses. Lastly, a hopper to help one feed the paintballs to the gun. Even though there is no uniform specified for paintball, it might be wise to keep some tips in mind. It
is helpful to wear a high neck in order to avoid the neck being hit.
Clothes that blend with the surroundings and camouflage you are a
definite strong point. There is no point in wearing a bright pink suit
while playing paintball out in the snow. Companies like ZAP have even
made T-shirts especially for paintball. Always loosen your muscles before you start a game, so stretching is a must. If you are playing it as a team sport, then the strategy should be teamwork. Accuracy is very essential in paintball, so practice your aiming skills, but do not forget that speed and endurance play very important roles. So build up your stamina and go for that run. Create a balance between defense and offense.
Don’t waste your time doing only one. The idea is to hit the
opponent as many times as you can as well as not get hit yourself. Keep
your eyes open. An overall view keeps you aware of where all of the
shots are coming from, so the next time you are aiming hard at your
opponent, make sure no one is aiming at you. The best tip to follow
during the game is be absolutely unpredictable and shock your opponent. |
